Future Horizons works in association with Horizon Care Limited, a provider of clinically supported residential children’s homes with education and Brighter Futures Limited, a provider of supported accommodation for young people who are leaving residential care or foster care but are not ready to live completely independently.
Horizon Care Limited, established in 2000, provides small specialist children’s homes with education and therapeutic support for children and young people with complex needs who display high risk behaviours aged 10 to 17yrs on admission.
Brighter Futures Limited was developed in 2003 to provide sheltered accommodation for up to four young people with direct support, an ‘on site’ warden and 24 hour emergency support and in 2007, Future Horizons set up its first house offering supported independent living.
Company directors Phil McVay and Amanda Knowles, who have worked together since 2002, aspire to provide a range of quality services designed to value and recognise the importance of relationships, support transitions and meet the changing needs of individuals in response to the Every Child Matters agenda and national and local commissioning initiatives. |
